Venue notes: Wellington's, Winnipeg MBLong-running punk club, now evidently defunct, a victim of hard economic times. Located down Albert Street from the perhaps better known Royal Albert Arms. It appears to have survived until at least 2002. According to this Apr 2007 post by "jsizzle" to the Winnipeg Punks forum: "It's the back door entrance of the Charleswood Hotel. You went down a flight of stairs to go to the bar. I hated getting drunk there because of those stairs. The little Mentors riot happened there. I also think the Circle Jerks and The Exploited played a show there (a couple of years before my time so I'm not totally sure). The room had a dirty dance club look to it. It seemed my friends who were into fetishes like S+M leather and other kink preferred this place." There's additional description of the club in this 2002 Paul Tough essay, and a chronology of sorts at this goth site. No other info available.[Do you have more information about this venue?
