The gigs here on 30-31 Mar 1979 were the first-ever public performances
by Hüsker Dü, informally billed as "Buddy and the Returnables"
(the name "Hüsker Dü" would be chosen during the interval between
these two shows and their third show a few weeks later; accounts vary
regarding the exact the timing and nature of the selection process). The
band had been asked to work up either two [Bob] or three [Greg] sets of
material. Those sets consisted entirely of cover songs. Below is an
unordered list, assembled from multiple sources, of some of the songs that
band members remember playing on those two nights. How large a fraction of
the complete setlists these songs represent is unknown.
