Thanks to Mark Weygandt, from whose website (now defunct) this information was retrieved, along with the informal show reviews and comments below, which were originally posted to the Sugar internet mailing list: -------------------------------------- From: Husker25 Hey all...Last night Rutgers show while a bit short (bob was taking off at 5:00 Am to go to Coata Rica) it was quite good. Vocally Bob sounded very good with strong vocals and tight playing (an improvement over the Tramps show) . The sound was a bit cavernous in the student center at Rutgers and the mix at the beginning had a bit to much echo/reverb but got somewhat better. It was quite unusual to have seating for the show and most of the audience, as far as I can tell wasn't too familiar with Bobs work (He was advertised as the Godfather of Alternative music!)...have been able to sit at any of Bobs show since the workbook tour in 89...I would have like to have stood up to express the energy I felt! A few nice surprises with Chartered Trips and Celebrated summer too. Thanks to Ned for getting me in, and it was good to catch up with Chris and Darren (Paul - Mark jealous???- haha)...
