Just back from Bob's show at the Granada in Lawrence, KS. There were no big surprises this time (the first time I saw him he debuted the "Explode/Hardly Getting Over It" medley, "IHOR," and "FKKS") but definitely a solid performance. It was one of the best crowds I've seen in Lawrence in quite awhile and definitely the best I've ever seen at the Granada. I was a little worried after reading about all the crowd chatter in St. Louis, as Lawrence crowds tend to be particularly talkative, but there wasn't much tonight. Bob talked a little about the mild winter, his happiness about getting away from the Austin heat, and why he left Minneapolis--he said that it was easy to "become a legend there ... to sit around at bars and have people buy you drinks."
