After the regularly-scheduled bands packed up their stuff, Bob and TLDAP band took the stage of Brownie's tonight at midnight. Bob and band were all business tonight - only a brief pause between a couple of the songs, one practically running into the next. All of this in 40 minutes. "Wanted Was" being the big surprise, at least for me, and "Disappointed" sounded way better than it ever did on the Black Sheets tours. The full band simply sounds perfect, Michael Ceveris' (sp?) second guitar really laying the foundation and taking all the pressure off of Bob. He seemed a little uneven on the vocals, I'm not really sure if he needs to just sing fewer parts, or just grow into them more comfortably. No doubt this will be a tight machine when the tour starts next week. Get your tickets if you're foolish enough not to have done so already.
